Intellectual property and awards
QSTAG Inc is a company that was established in August 2016 and develops rapid kits for personal health screening. We are developing periodic POCT technology for disease screening and monitoring of personal healthcare. Our main product is QSCHECK-UIS which is urine tester combined with QR code and smart phone application for analyzing test results automatically. Current urine tester shows the results by colorimetric method. However, user check the results by naked eyes. Thus, not only is the standard deviation of the results high, it hardly dataizes the results. On the other hands, our product can check the results by smartphone application and make the dataized results.
Recently, the medical paradigm is changing. Previous medical paradigm is the hospital centered treatment system. But now the medical paradigm is patient-centered management and monitoring their health condition. By this changing, a lot of services has been launched for personal healthcare such as personal genetic services or rapid kits like that..But these services are focused on the prediction of disease No screening, no monitoring. So, customers said that “What’s next ? And So what?” It means periodic POCT technology is essential for patience centered medical paradigm, for management and monitoring system.
Even this trend, there are a lot of people do not receive health checkups because of their busy schedule and poor welfare services In South Korea, almost 50% of non-regular worker and self-employed do not receive health checkup. These people are not all. People who live in island and mountain area or the other area where is hard to access to hospital or medical institution are also suffer from the same situation. So, to solve this problem, periodic POCT technology is essential.
The 1st generation of POCT technology is used only at hospital such as rapid kit, urine stick, or glucose meter. But 2nd generation POCT technology focus on the personal device for their health condition monitoring. So, this technology should meet datafication for management, high sensitivity for various target disease, disposable at low cost. QSTAG has high technology and our product, QSCHECK, meets all these requirement.
We have developed ‘QSCheck-UIS4’ that is urine tester combined with QR code and smart phone application for dataization of the results. Current urine tester shows the results by colorimetric method. However, user check the results by naked eyes. Thus, not only is the standard deviation of the results high, it hardly dataizes the results. On the other hands, our product can check the results by smartphone application and make the dataized results.
The product consists of two items, urine cup and stick. After collecting urine with the urine cup, you can dip the stick into urine. Then, just you can get the results by scanning the QR code printed urine stick with smartphone application. Our product detects 4 bio markers including protein, glucose, blood, and ph. These markers indicate abnormalities of kidney, diabetes, and other disease.
With urine tester, we have smartphone application QS READER. With this smartphone application test results can be detected automatically and then test results are saved into users smartphone and also sent to the server. The test data can be shared with hospital or other institution.
Our device shows excellent performance. The accuracy is almost 95% compared with bench top machine.
