In an effort to revolutionize the sales CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software space, Relate, a promising B2B Korean startup, has introduced a cutting-edge CRM tool explicitly tailored for B2B startups. Relate strongly emphasizes product-led growth (PLG) to effectively tackle the unique challenges that B2B startups face in managing their sales processes.
Recognizing the limitations of existing CRM software, including the complexity of platforms like Salesforce, the founders of Relate identified the need for specific features for B2B startups pursuing a product-led growth strategy. Relate has stepped in with the understanding of integrating product metrics and streamlining customer relations to fill this void in the market.
Originally conceived as a platform in 2019 to connect Korean designers with the US market, Relate underwent several pivots before evolving into a sales CRM software. The founders realized the growing demand for CRM tools among Korean B2B companies. They decided to focus on developing a solution for sales driven by process rather than solely relying on relationships.
“At Relate, we are proud to have played a role in shaping the Korean sales CRM market and driving the adoption of process-driven sales strategies. Our commitment to innovation and customer-centricity remains unwavering as we continue to evolve and improve our platform to meet the market’s ever-changing demands,” Sangyong Jung (SJ), co-founder of Relate.
Reflecting on their journey, the founders spoke about their experience with Y Combinator (YC), a renowned startup accelerator. “The YC application and interview process, with their thought-provoking questions, provided invaluable guidance and insights that helped shape our business. It facilitated our growth and enabled us to make informed decisions that propelled us forward. We are grateful for the opportunity to participate in the YC program and for its profound impact on our journey as entrepreneurs,” Jung stated.
Relate team feels hopeful as the product has gained traction within its target market. Relate sets itself apart from other CRM tools like Hubspot by honing in on B2B SaaS companies and incorporating unique features, such as integrated product usage analytics and shared side channels for sales communications.
Relate is aiming at B2B startups in the United States with small teams consisting of around 5 to 10 members who are building their initial sales teams. The founding team behind Relate consists of individuals, each bringing a unique set of skills and experiences Jung has prior startup experience, while Christopher Chae, another co-founder has a background in tech services and has worked with industry giants like IBM and Walmart. Arthur Kim boasts a strong background in the startup field.
As Relate launches its ground breaking sales CRM software, B2B startups can now look forward to an integrated solution that caters to their specific needs, propelling their sales processes and fostering growth.
