Korean startup Aidus, specializing in game development and game controllers, has designed an innovative joystick-type mouse – Nextick for gamers to enjoy a more immersive experience. Nextick works the same as a regular mouse but with enhanced features to conduct better office work, web surfing, presentations and multimedia operations
Regular mouse functionalities with 3D features
Nextick is wireless and designed to have a substantial grip, and it allows gamers to use a full range of motion while holding onto it. The joystick’s vibration capability gives a real-life feel when pressing commands like shoot, hit, etc., during games. At the same time, Nextick provides all the functionalities of a regular mouse-like scroll, drag, double-click, and more.
Nextick can be used for regular day-to-day work and enhance work performance, such as during presentations or while scrolling through the web. Nextick combines the functionalities of a 3D mouse and macro keyboard, and its macro keyboard shortcuts help users save presets of words or phrases that are often used. Nextick provides a 3D motion range for conventional 2D devices such as a touchscreen and computer mouse and a macro keyboard button that can be set and scheduled.
Starting in 2017, Aidus specializes in game development and game controllers. The team was formed by Byung Chan Lee with the vision to be ahead of the game of conventional wireless controllers. Nextick was built after seven iterations of building different prototypes. The startup had launched Nextick on Kickstarter and generated immense popularity in the crowdfunding community. It reached its funding goal in just three days
